Tiny Cannon ---- Review on QCY QQ800 Bluetooth Speaker2017-07-12 16:46:51.0
Most people like Bluetooth speaker as it is not just a practical device using for music and movie, but a lovely art.
QQ800 is such a “practical art”.
First of all, I will give a brief introduction to QCY. QCY as Hele Electronics’s affiliated brand was came into being in 2011 and focuses on Wireless Audio and Intelligent Home. Recent years, QCY is emerging in Bluetooth Market of China. With fashion style, the brand has attracted lots of young customers.
This QQ800 is the first Bluetooth speaker among QCY family, how does it work? Let’s check it out.
▼Small craft box(size is as big as fist)
▼After removing the craft box, now we see the real package, a white one while silver device is inside. Simplicity and technology, together like never before.
▼Basic specifications printed on the back of the package: 10 hours battery life, both Bluetooth and TF card modes available, inclined structure of sound amplifier and three-way roller controller.
▼What’s in the box: QQ800 and a 10cm USB cable
▼On/off button is in the front, two holes are on its sides. Among them, one is mic and the other is LED
▼Back of the device is a three-way button using for adjusting volume(short slide), skip track forward/backward(hold to slide), pause/play(press), last number redial(long press) and answer call(long press). One small roller helps me a lot!
▼M button is on the right side(short press to switch between Bluetooth and TF card modes, long press to enter pairing mode). TF card slot is close to M button while micro USB charging port is on the left. 68°angle design is tellingly special.
▼Non-slip mat is arranged on the bottom with power parameter which is 5V and 0.6A
QQ800 is pretty small with metal net, silver housing and white piano finish basement. Overall, nice and exquisite.
▼Switch on the device and blue indicator turns on with sweet lady voice prompt that goes “pairing mode”. LED turns to red once earphone is being charged.
▼If a phone is recorded on the pairing list, the phone will be auto connected to the earphone.
▼During lock screen, you can also control volume and skip track via roller controller. Easy, isn’t it?
Ⅲ. Using experience
I like female vocal and prefer English songs than Chinese. I find that QQ800 performs well for my daily using. Considering its size, I don’t expect bass, however, its mids is crystal clear while highs is OK. But when the tune is really high, I still notice little sound breaking.
However, I have to say QQ800’s volume is amazingly loud. I’ve been the user of QQ800 for a while, yet never tried its top volume, as I can not stand such loud volume nor my neighbors.
After testing, I found that iMac, ThinkPad X250 and TV box can work with it very well. Get it together with iMac, pretty nice, isn’t it?
▼I have Mao King Little Prince(Bluetooth speaker) with wood building. Compared with QQ800(metal housing), which one is your bias?
QQ800 is a pretty small on-the-go speaker with ultra-loud volume. You can put it into pocket or bag and get it out to enjoy whenever you want. Since it supports Bluetooth mode and TF card slot, you can enjoy music without even taking phone out. Switch on the speaker, it delivers up to 6 music hours(half volume). But if I have to say any defect, the bass is not so good. Because the size really limits its bass performance. Balance between sounding and size is different to be reached. You just weigh your choice according to your expectation. Overall, for a item around 20 USD, the tiny cannon is decent, in my opinion.
